Promotion of spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of students including Citizenship and British values
Students Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural awareness is developed through Personal Social and Health Education Lessons. SMSC themes are also addressed through the range of subjects that form our curriculum offer. In addition, through the curriculum, we promote the range of British Values as set out by the government in the ‘Prevent Strategy’.
Further details and examples of how British Values are discussed and shared can be found on the PSHCE page. Related themes are taught in subjects across the curriculum and examples appear in the link document below. Assemblies are scheduled throughout the year and have clearly defined themes that link to SMSC issues, Citizenship and British Values.
